Course information
1-Day Course
This course is designed for everyone, whether you want to start your own business, have a refresher or even if you work within the leather industry already. You will walk away with a better understanding of leather as a whole as well as exploring the different types and grades of leather available. Giving you the confidence and knowledge to communicate more effectively when discussing leather with customers.
We will go over the many different leather types, finishes and the techniques to establish the type of leather your dealing with.
We will go over minor repairs, this includes minor scuffs, cracking, dye transfer removing and various cleaning methods too.
You should walk away with confidence and a more enriched knowledge base of leather and leather repairs.
2-Day Course
In our 2-day course you will gain a much more in-depth knowledge of repairs, colour changes, Aniline restoration, Pull Up restoration, grease removal and major repairs like holes, rips and tears. We will also cover grain replication and touch on colour and sheen matching. This course would complement any leather technician who wants to gain more knowledge.
3-Day Course
The 3-Day course has the same content as the 2 days but we dedicate a single day to colour matching. Colour matching is very much an art form. We will show you the fundamentals to obtain a colour match and importantly the subtle tweaking of the colour and sheen to get a perfect finish. Practice makes perfect with colour matching however following John’s expertise and knowledge you can evolve into a true Colour Master.
